Structural Anchoring: This system is engineered to bypass decorative composite sleeves. It must be anchored directly into the internal pressure-treated lumber post or solid masonry. Do not mount to hollow siding, thin fascia, or unreinforced decorative caps.
Substrate Integrity: Per IRC Section R507.10, the installer is responsible for verifying that the mounting surface is structurally sound, free of rot or cracks, and capable of supporting the intended load and environmental wind force.
Precision Leveling: Use the included bubble and magnetic torpedo levels to ensure the fixture is perfectly plumb. A vertical orientation is required for the 360° "weather-vane" self-alignment to function effectively and reduce lateral stress.
System Compatibility: This fixture is precision-engineered exclusively for the included 15/32" solid core rod. Standard 1/2" (12.7mm) hardware is incompatible and will not fit the internal bracing structure.
Professional Tool Suite: Use only the provided wood/masonry fasteners and the included specialized drill bits for the specified application. Masonry installation requires a hammer drill.
